But, I'm a free human being and could have tried haggling or shopping around, or even leaving the car at. My only unhappy surprise was that the rate of $67 on the Marriott site ended up at $151 (including taxes) when I called the hotel directly and asked for a rate that included leaving the car. Some foods were for sale in the "pantry" shop in the lobby there were also menus form local places that would deliver, for $5 plus 4% of the bill plus driver tips. The room was comfortable and quiet, and included a refrigerator and microwave. On our return, pickup from the airport took about 10 minutes from when we called and they took us straight to our car. The pool was small, which is typical of Fairfields and others in this hotel type I did not use that or the gym. The employees all seemed genuinely cordial and willing to help we checked in quickly and also arranged for the shuttle the next morning, a wake-up call (employee proactively asked about both) and got a form to fill out since we were leaving the car. I'd probably stay elsewhere next time if I don't need to stay near the airport.I don't have a lot of details for this review we wanted a quiet, convenient place to stay overnight and park our car during a 4-day trip and we got it. Small work out room (2 or 3 cardio machines and free weights) but better than nothing. Then I went downstairs and asked for a wine opener and they said they'd bring it to my room, and never did. Also, the clock in my room was 20 minutes fast - good thing I wasn't counting on that either. Cons: The front desk asked if I wanted a wake up call and I said yes - well good thing I didn't count on it because the phone in my room was unplugged when I got into my hotel room and I didn't know it until the next morning when I wondered why my phone didn't ring. I'll start with the pros first: Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast (egg and cheese biscuits, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, cereal, muffins, etc), very close to airport, about 5 minutes from lots of restaurants, not too noisy, free parking and internet, provided shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn for 1 night on business in December.
